Description
Brief Description:
Primary duties will focus on managing the configuration of network devices to ensure they are compliant with established feature standards. This will include the development of audits, the remediation of drift, and the continual monitoring of devices to ensure they do not have further drift. Additional responsibilities will include working with Tier IV Engineering to identify and correct errors in feature standards as well as exceptions to the standards.

Detailed Description:
- Using documented standards create scripts that will validate compliance of standards within the network
- Remediating exceptions found within the network.
- Working with Tier IV engineering on the completeness and accuracy of the standards
- Reporting on exceptions to the standards and the exceptions that were remediated.
- Tracking and reporting on drift compliancy on a day to day basis
- Working with other colleagues to identify causes of day to day drift and train on proper configuration of devices as per established standards
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree
- Min 3 years of experience in networking technologies such as routers, switches, VPN appliances, firewalls, proxy's, load Balancers, DNS appliances, wireless devices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced understanding of networking technologies such as routers, switches, Firewalls, Proxies, Load Balancers
- Strong automation scripting skills (Python preferred).
- Infrastructure Network Technology Delivery experience with additional experience on delivering Info Security based infrastructure solutions in an enterprise-wide environment
- Experience with network technology vendors such as Cisco, Palo Alto, F5
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux and scripting languages; Python, JavaScript, VBScript, Perl or Tcl
- Demonstrable ability to learn and apply technical skills
- Effective Time Management with ability to adjust to changing priorities and handling multiple initiatives
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to adapt to the audience
- Familiarity of Network Management Products (NetMRI, ManageEngine, Splunk, HP BTO)
- Experience facilitating group sessions to gather requirements with ability to ask relevant questions to drill into the details
- Experience tracking and driving deliverables to completion
- Works well under pressure and with deadlines
