Job Description

If so, AECOM's Adaptive Program Management Technologies team may be a great place for you to grow your career. We are seeking a mid-level Implementation Specialist to join the team. The home office for this position will be Germantown, MD, but the position can be fully remote or hybrid at any AECOM office.

The Implementation Specialist - Project Management Information System (PMIS) will support our growing portfolio of projects delivering critical technology solutions to our large capital improvement program clients. Solutions may include commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software, custom AECOM-built applications, or a combination of both. Supported systems include eBuilder, Kahua, InEight and other leading vendors. Implementation Specialists will also assist with the development of functional requirements for custom applications that will be built by our in-house software development teams. Projects vary in complexity and constraints, providing an environment for career progression.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with dynamic stakeholder teams to define and document as-is business processes, critical performance metrics, and program/project control requirements

  • Evaluate the systems and tools currently supporting program/project delivery and define requirements for enhancements

  • Use critical thinking, data analytics, and business analysis techniques to examine existing business processes and to make recommendations for improvement

  • Translate documented requirements into system configurations, software business process workflows and reporting metrics (workflows, data dictionaries, use cases, reports, dashboards etc)

  • Participate in the discovery, design, testing, implementation, training and rollout phases of software implementation

  • Configure software to meet documented requirements

  • Serve as a client representative when interacting with software vendors

  • Develop supporting documentation (user guides, job aids, training materials, test cases, user acceptance test plans, etc)


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS in CS, Engineering, Construction Management, other technical field or demonstrated equivalency experience and/or education

  • 3-5 years of professional software business analyst or project controls experience

  • Experience with commercial construction program management information systems (PMIS)

  • Familiar with implementing project controls for construction projects

  • Familiar with capital improvement program management and construction contract management

  • Ability to facilitate requirements gatherings and accurately document business processes

  • Ability to assimilate client needs and translate them into software business requirements

  • MS Office including Visio and MS Project

  • While this is a 100% remote position, travel up to 25% - 50% may be required at times

  • Supported systems include eBuilder, Kahua, InEight, InEight, Unifier and other leading vendors.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients orally and in writing

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization including senior managers and executives

  • Strong technical aptitude

  • Excellent organizational, time management and presentation skills

  • Ability to work alone as well as in collaborative team environments

  • Demonstrated skills as a problem solver

  • Familiar with design/build construction processes

  • Understanding of basic accounting and financial reporting

  • Experience analyzing and writing business and system requirements documents

  • Previous use case development

  • Data analysis skills

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $82,000.00 - $105,000.00.
