Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and administer the IBM TWS/IWS platform.
- Build, operate, and maintain a high-availability IWS platform in AWS.
- Install, configure, and support Dynamic Workload Console (TDWC).
- Plan and support Disaster Recovery (DR) and Swing environments in AWS.
- Lead and execute migration of Tivoli Workload Scheduler from on-prem to AWS.
- Assess current TWS architecture and recommend improvements aligned with AWS best practices.
- Migrate environments from AIX to Linux.
- Define and implement an effective DR strategy for TWS in AWS.
- Perform TWS installations and upgrades in AWS environments.
- Execute DB2 migrations related to TWS components.
- Provide Managed TWS Platform Support including L1/L2 escalation handling.
- Perform advanced administration:
- Performance tuning
- Custom configurations
- Automation and scripting
- Test case creation and validation
- Act as an SME across all Scheduling and Support functions.
- Stay current with IBM Tivoli product releases, patches, and enhancements.
- Recommend upgrades, patches, and platform improvements to management.
- Perform advanced TWS network administration:
- Installations, upgrades, and patching
- LDAP integration
- Automation and security configurations
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues beyond standard support capabilities.
- Provide on-call support for enterprise batch scheduling operations.
- Liaise with IBM/product vendors for:
- Upgrades
- Security patches
- Product-level escalations
- Manage scheduling objects, job streams, and dependencies.
- Configure alerts and notifications.
- Manage Account IDs and credentials used for job execution.
- Maintain and configure Calendars and scheduling rules.
- Deploy and manage agents across workload servers.
- Support BCP / DR drills and production incidents.
Education: At least a bachelor s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field is required for the project
