The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong background in test automation, modern DevOps methodologies, and team leadership. Additionally, you will build and guide a high-performing team in India to support global initiatives while ensuring platform standardization, quality, and compliance.

This is an in-house, on-site role so candidates must currently be in commutable distance from Plano, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Platform Engineering Leadership

    • Design and develop scalable, secure, cloud-native platforms to support business needs.

    • Champion the use of "paved path" technologies to create standardized development pipelines across various teams.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, Quality Engineering, Solution Architecture, Agile Coaching) to ensure alignment across platforms.

  • Quality Engineering Enablement

    • Create foundational tools and infrastructure for quality initiatives, such as source code repositories, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.

    • Leverage AI-powered tools, such as Windsurf IDE and Cursor IDE, to enhance code quality analysis and streamline debugging workflows.

    • Implement test management solutions (e.g., Jira/X-Ray) to centralize and optimize test case creation, execution, and reporting.

  • Team Building & Mentorship

    • Recruit, train, and lead a platform engineering team in India to expand and scale global engineering capabilities.

    • Provide technical mentorship to engineers in DevOps practices, cloud architecture, and automation frameworks.

    • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement through mentoring, enablement sessions, and collaboration across teams.

  • Governance & Compliance

    • Establish governance protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards like PHI/PII (e.g., SOC2, ISO27001).

    • Implement monitoring solutions (e.g., New Relic) to ensure operational resilience and platform reliability.

    • Create and manage dashboards to track key metrics, such as platform usage, test case coverage, and incident prevention rates.

  • Operational Excellence

    • Promote the adoption of ITIL-based processes for change management and incident response.

    • Work with production support teams to ensure smooth deployments and minimize downtime.

    • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and implement strategies to prevent future occurrences.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Required:

    • 10+ years of experience in platform or quality engineering with a focus on test automation frameworks.

    • Proven expertise in Jira/X-Ray integration for SDLC traceability.

    • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe) and modern DevOps tools like Jenkins, Argo CD, Playwright, Pact Broker, and JMeter.

    • Familiarity with AI-driven tools like Windsurf IDE or Cursor IDE for optimizing code quality and analysis.

    • Demonstrated experience in building and managing offshore teams (preferably in India) to support global engineering operations.

Technical Skills:

  • Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in AWS and Azure (architecture certifications preferred).

  • Programming: Strong scripting skills in C#, Python, JavaScript, or Java for automated test development.

  • CI/CD: Expertise in optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or equivalent tools.

Preferred Certifications:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect.

  • ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer Certification.

  • ITIL 4 Foundation Certification.
