Kratos has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Designer to perform general mechanical design tasks as part of the Engineering Services team for a broad range of electromechanical products. The primary functions are to work with our systems engineers and product development engineers to help plan, conceptualize, and create hardware designs that meet our customer's requirements. Typical hardware requirements will be thermal operation, manufacturability, cost, supply chain, reliability, and regulatory compliance. Designed hardware will be primarily electronics packaging such as 19" rack enclosures and high performance antenna mounted modules.

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000

Experience and Skills
- 5-10 years of experience working in engineering with a preference for electronic and electromechanical products.
- Experience using SolidWorks or similar CAD tool.
- Understanding of sheet metal, machining, extrusion, and 3D printed fabrication processes.
- Familiarity with worldwide regulatory compliance requirements (EMC, Safety, RoHS).
- Multi-tasking in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Ability to interact with all levels of management/personnel, team player who can quickly build rapport and credibility
- Excellent organizational, verbal, facilitation, listening, and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate basic shop tools such as a drill press, metal saw, and various power tools to build/modify prototypes.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- AutoCAD experience
