AVA Consulting is seeking a Sr DevOps/Automation Engineer with Networking skills
Location: Remote - US

Job Description:
- We are looking for an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer with a focus on Networking skills to analyze, integrate, and complete migration of Client services.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying dependencies, solving open-ended challenges, and communicating effectively across teams.
- Experience within an AWS cloud environment is essential for this role.
- Take the lead to migrate and integrate Client's cloud networking systems into a larger technology ecosystem.
- Interface with leadership, infrastructure, and security teams to understand challenges and proactively seek out solutions that work effectively for our internal teams.
- Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, quality standards, and architectural guidelines, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates on project status, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
Requirement:
- Experience architecting, building, using, and supporting complex multi-site VPN solutions (OpenVPN, GlobalProtect).
- A deep understanding of WAFs and cloud network security.
- Agile methodology including using tools/practices such as Jira, roadmapping, managing sprints and backlogs, and tracking resource usage.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent
- Practical DevOps experience with at least 5+ years working with AWS.
- A strong history of designing solutions using AWS services with a focus on security and access controls.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A passion for building systems that truly meet the needs of multiple types of technical and non-technical users.
