IT Project Coordinator

Lewisville, TX - (onsite role)

Long term Contract

We are seeking a "ON-SITE" in detail-oriented and proactive IT Project Coordinator to support the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects across the organization. The ideal candidate will work closely with IT operations and delivery managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure timelines, resources, and deliverables are aligned and projects are completed successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and monitor daily project activities to ensure tasks are on track.
Assist project managers in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Maintain and update project documentation including risk logs, issue trackers, and change requests.
Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration.
Organize and participate in project meetings, prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
Track project performance and prepare reports for stakeholders and management.
Support vendor coordination and procurement processes as required.
Assist in quality assurance and testing efforts where applicable.
Ensure compliance with organizational standards and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, ITIL).
Identify project risks and support mitigation planning and follow-up.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
2 4 years of experience in IT project coordination or project support role.
Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello, Asana).
Experience in an Agile or hybrid project environment is preferred.
Skills:
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Understanding of basic IT concepts and software development lifecycle.

Preferred Certifications:
CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management)
PMP (Project Management Professional)
CSM (Certified Scrum Master) or other Agile certifications
ITIL Foundation
