Position Summary
The Assistant Finance Director (Internal Auditor) is responsible for overseeing key financial processes, ensuring accuracy in provider compensation, and supporting internal audit functions. This role involves detailed financial analysis, reporting, and collaboration with physicians and administrative teams to maintain financial integrity and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Provider Compensation Oversight
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the Partner Compensation System.
- Lead the monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) process, including review, analysis, and preparation of manual journal entries.
Physician Financial Support
- Address physician inquiries related to monthly P&L statements and compensation.
- Provide clear, timely, and accurate financial feedback.
Cost Center Performance Analysis
- Conduct periodic reviews of cost center operations.
- Identify opportunities for cost accounting improvements and overhead optimization.
Drug Margin Analysis
- Develop and implement methodologies for monthly reporting of clinic drug margins, with a focus on chemotherapy.
Midlevel Provider Bonus Management
- Oversee the quarterly calculation and validation of midlevel provider production bonuses.
Accounts Receivable and Bad Debt Review
- Analyze A/R aging reports to assess bad debt expense at the individual provider level.
Audit Support
- Assist in the preparation of schedules and documentation for annual financial statement audits.
Budgeting Assistance
- Support the development and review of the annual operating budget.
Special Projects
- Lead or contribute to financial forecasts and other ad hoc projects initiated by physicians or administrative leadership.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position does not include direct supervisory duties but may provide guidance to junior finance staff or cross-functional teams.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Primarily a sedentary role with minimal physical exertion (lifting up to 10 pounds).
- Requires extended periods of computer use and effective communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, adapt to shifting priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Occasional extended work hours may be necessary.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master s degree in Accounting.
- 8- 16 years of experience in public or private accounting, preferably with exposure to healthcare finance or internal audit.
Additional Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software.
- Strong understanding of monthly accounting processes, financial statement analysis, and internal controls.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Salary Range*: $110k to $120k
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
