Description
Explaining intricate technical information to the non-technical user is an essential skill for this position. Are you a driven individual who is most productive in an active and positive environment? This Desktop Support Analyst position, which is a long-term contract / temporary opportunity, is located in the Kansas City, Kansas, area.
Key responsibilities
- Resolve computer problems, and give guidance on appropriate action/solutions
- Develop records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
- Arrange hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors
- Supply computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Retain, investigate, and restore computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals
- Administer support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems
- Interact regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
Requirements
- Experience writing procedure manuals, user instructions, business correspondence, and general report writing
- General familiarity with Active Directory
- Good understanding of cost analysis
- Consumer Electronics experience highly preferred
- Strong familiarity with research
- Experience with Phone Presenc
- Microsoft Office 365 experience preferred
- Knowledge of Apple Devices
- Workstation Support experience preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of Technical Support
- Earlier work involving Windows OS
- Mac Computers experience desired
- Comprehension of Computer Hardware
- Adeptness in Troubleshoot
- Mobile Device experience highly desired
- Demonstrated knowledge of English Language
- Foundational knowledge in VPN Technologies
- Hands-on experience with Diagnose Problems
- Deep understanding of Printer Hardware
- Previous experience working with Desktop Hardware
- Laptop Hardware experience highly valued
- Background working with Operating System
- Prior experience with Workstations
- Microsoft experience required
- Practical knowledge of Deskside Support
- Experience with Ticketing System
- Desktop support or related experience
