ASSYST is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with deep expertise in PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) 9.2, specifically in the Asset Management module. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting enterprise-level business process improvement and system integration projects, particularly within public sector environments. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and hands-on testing and documentation experience.

Job Title: PeopleSoft FSCM Business Analyst Location: Austin, TX - Hybrid (4 days remote with 1day (Wednesdays) onsite)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand business objectives and problems; identify alternative solutions, perform cost/benefit analysis, and recommend the best course of action.
  • Analyze user requirements, business procedures, and operational challenges to improve or automate processes using PeopleSoft.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather input/output requirements and translate them into functional specifications and system requirements.
  • Document detailed user needs, program functions, and development/modification steps for technical teams.
  • Assess system capabilities, scheduling limitations, and feasibility of requested changes or enhancements.
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis and facilitate formal work sessions and functional walkthroughs.
  • Perform end-to-end business process testing, including hands-on system integration and interface validation with third-party systems.
  • Support training efforts, documentation creation, and other project-related tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively within large teams using MS Teams and participate in cross-functional communication.
  • Be available for occasional off-hours work depending on project phases or deadlines.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on PeopleSoft FSCM implementation or upgrade projects.
  • 8+ years of experience with PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 Asset Management module.
  • 8+ years of experience conducting formal work sessions and presenting functional analysis.
  • 8+ years of experience in hands-on end-to-end system integration and external interface testing.
  • 8+ years of experience using Microsoft O365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Teams and managing communication across large teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience working in public sector organizations (Federal, State, or Local Government).
  • 2+ years of experience with Texas CPA s CAPPS Financials system.
  • 2+ years of experience with PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 General Ledger and Commitment Control modules.
  • 2+ years of experience with SharePoint.
  • 1+ year of experience with Jira.
  • 1+ year of experience working within the Scrum framework or Agile teams.
