Description:Our client is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join their Enterprise Technology team. This team manages a global x86 server environment across multiple data centers and is at the forefront of innovation in server performance, resiliency, and automation. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer passionate about hands-on work with cutting-edge data center technologies.
Key Responsibilities:- Deploy and manage OpenShift environments with a focus on high availability and fault tolerance.
- Conduct performance and resiliency testing on VMware and OpenShift platforms.
- Implement and upgrade Ceph environments; integrate Kubernetes with Ceph for S3-compatible storage.
- Automate engineering tasks and infrastructure lifecycle management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Migrate virtual machines into OpenStack environments using KubeVirt and KVM.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization for OpenStack clusters.
- Utilize Helm charts to deploy performance testing suites.
- Configure core systems (e.g., IP address setup, network/storage integration).
- Research and implement new features in data center cooling, power management, and core densification.
Required Skills & Experience:- Strong experience with Kubernetes (OpenShift preferred).
- Hands-on experience with VMware, vSphere, ESXi, VCF, vRealize, Nutanix, NSX-T.
- Deep understanding of compute, storage, and networking technologies.
- Experience with fault tolerance and performance testing in virtualized environments.
- Familiarity with KubeVirt, KVM, OpenStack, Ceph, Helm, and CSI.
- Automation experience using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab.
- Systems engineering knowledge (e.g., Linux, IP configuration).
- Python scripting skills (preferred).

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75.00 - $100.00/hr.
