Responsibilities

Peraton is looking for an experienced SENIOR ELECTROMECHANICAL SYSTEMS ENGINEER to lead a mechanical team supporting spaceflight instrument development at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC.

The Senior Electromechanical Systems Engineer needs demonstrated experience in the analysis and design of space flight control systems, which includes:

Hands-on work with flight hardware at all stages of development, design, fabrication and construction, testing, qualification and on-orbit operation
Control/structure interaction
Performance in the presence of jitter
The Senior Electromechanical Systems Engineer must also possess demonstrable experience in the modeling of mechanical, electronic, electromechanical, and thermal control systems using such tools as MATLAB.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Minimum BS Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics (preferably MS Engineering) from an accredited institution with at least 12 years of related aerospace experience
Experience design/development/test of powered mechanical devices
Secret level Security Clearance

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
