Job Title: Healthcare BI developer
Location: Remote
Job Type: 6 month contract with strong possibility of extension(s)

Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Trillium reports and pertinent reporting platforms, including Power BI, R, Python, SSMS/SSRS, and third-party solutions. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication abilities to translate complex technical concepts to both technical personnel and non-IT business users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain reports and pertinent reporting platforms, including Power BI, R, Python, SSMS/SSRS, and third-party solutions.
- Coordinate with Informatics and Data Science staff as needed.
- Utilize various analytical programs such as Power BI, R, or Python to support reporting functionality.
- Test Power BI and SSRS reports, correct errors, and make necessary modifications.
- Develop data modeling for both Power BI and SSRS reporting, describing data elements and their usage.
- Follow company and department rules and security measures to safeguard information in computer files, reports, and databases against accidental or unauthorized modification or disclosure.
- Translate and communicate highly technical concepts to both technical personnel and non-IT business users.
- Develop partnerships with customers by responding to needs and exhibiting a sense of urgency, independently identifying options, developing solutions, and taking action when responding to customer needs.
- Organize, prioritize, and follow complex and/or detailed technical procedures.
- Work independently and perform job duties with minimal supervision.
- Diagnose software problems and provide effective solutions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.
- Experience with SQL Server operating systems and data modeling.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R.
- Proficiency in working and developing with Power BI, Python, R, Visual Studio, and SSMS/SSRS.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
