Job Title: Senior AEM Developer
Location: 100% Remote (Must work EST hours)
Duration: Contract
Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned AEM Developer with strong Java expertise to lead modernization efforts across our digital platforms. This role is instrumental in building scalable, cloud-native solutions using AEM as a Cloud Service, ensuring consistent digital messaging and seamless engagement across all channels.
Required Skills: Strong expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Java
Key Responsibilities: AEM / Edge Delivery Development:

  • Design, develop, and maintain components, templates, and integrations using AEM as a Cloud Service.

  • Implement and manage Edge Delivery Services: build blocks, configure document-based authoring, and set up GitHub workflows.

  • Extend AEM capabilities with advanced features: Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, workflows, metadata schemas.

  • Lead hybrid/headless AEM implementations using GraphQL and REST APIs.

  • Configure Dispatcher and optimize content delivery via CDN (Cloudflare, Fastly).

Full Stack Engineering:

  • Develop robust backend systems using Java, OSGi, Sling, JCR, Apache Felix.

  • Create reusable, high-performance frontend components with HTL, JSP, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.

  • Implement SPAs using frameworks like React or Vue.js.

  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs with internal and third-party services.

DevOps & Cloud Engineering:

  • Manage builds with Maven and deployments via Adobe Cloud Manager, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.

  • Ensure solutions follow cloud-native design, security, and performance best practices.

  • Optimize for performance (Core Web Vitals), scalability, and accessibility (WCAG 2.1 compliance).

Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Lead code reviews and promote best practices across the engineering team.

  • Mentor junior developers and coordinate with distributed teams (onshore & offshore).

  • Work closely with architecture, UX, QA, and product teams to deliver aligned and high-impact solutions.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of overall IT experience.

  • 7+ years of hands-on AEM development experience.

  • Proven experience with AEM as a Cloud Service.

  • Strong proficiency in Java and full-stack development.

  • Expertise in SPA frameworks (React or Vue) and API integrations.

  • Solid understanding of DevOps, performance optimization, and modern web standards.
