Job Title: Snowflake Enterprise Architect Location: Remote
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Enterprise Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide data architecture solutions using the Snowflake Data Cloud platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing scalable and high-performing data strategies, optimizing cloud data warehousing, and ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and design enterprise-scale data solutions on the Snowflake platform.
Lead the migration of legacy data warehouses to Snowflake.
Develop and enforce best practices and standards for data modeling, data integration, data security, and performance optimization.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into data architecture solutions.
Design and implement data governance and data quality frameworks.
Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and strategies for data ingestion, ETL/ELT, and orchestration (e.g., Fivetran, dbt, Airflow).
Guide and mentor data engineers and developers in Snowflake-specific development practices.
Ensure cost-efficient data storage and compute resource utilization within Snowflake.
Work closely with DevOps to integrate CI/CD practices in data pipeline development.
Maintain a deep understanding of the Snowflake roadmap and evolving features.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
8+ years of experience in data architecture and data engineering roles.
3+ years of hands-on experience architecting and implementing solutions using Snowflake.
Strong experience with SQL, data modeling, and performance tuning in Snowflake.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and data lake architectures.
Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, Talend, Matillion, Fivetran, or dbt.
Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance requirements.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Snowflake certification (e.g., SnowPro Advanced: Architect).
Experience in real-time data processing and streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka).
Prior experience with data cataloging and lineage tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation).
Knowledge of data mesh, data fabric, or modern data architecture patterns.
