Job Description
Title: Network Engineer Specialist

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Leadership
Develop and execute network strategies to support organizational needs for capacity, reliability, scalability, and security.
Participate in strategic and operational planning to support business goals, encourage innovation, and manage the evaluation and deployment of new technologies.
Approve, prioritize, and control network-related projects, including selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems.
Network Operations & Maintenance
Manage MDF and IDF maintenance programs; ensure activities align with production schedules and Data Center objectives.
Establish and manage priorities for maintenance, design, development, and analysis of network equipment and systems.
Lead teams and apply best practices in network architecture, operations, and governance.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
Obtain and evaluate vendor bids for support services, repairs, and equipment; ensure adherence to quality, budget, scheduling, policies, and standards.
Coordinate with Data Center Services (DCS), third-party vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective service delivery.
Financial & Budget Management
Participate in the development, tracking, and control of the annual IT operating and capital budgets.
Ensure cost-effective management of network infrastructure and vendor contracts.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience: 8 10+ years in network engineering or related infrastructure roles.
Proven experience managing MDF/IDF environments and data center networking operations.
Demonstrated experience coordinating with vendors, evaluating bids, and managing network projects.
Experience with network planning, project prioritization, and overseeing network systems maintenance and development.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
Management Experience: Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and vendor management.
Strong knowledge of best practices in modern network architecture, operations, and security.
