Network Architect - Systems Integration

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in Greenwood Village, CO is seeking a seasoned Network Architect to join their Emerging Technology team, focusing on the evolution of their telecommunications network infrastructure.

Summary:
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of telecom networks and the ability to integrate complex software applications and services with carrier-grade network architectures. This role demands a strategic systems integrator who can bridge legacy telecom infrastructure with modern software-driven network solutions, enabling innovative services and enhanced user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design and architect scalable, resilient, and secure telecom network solutions supporting next-generation services such as 5G, VoIP, broadband, and cloud-based applications
* Collaborate with software development and operations teams to integrate telecom networks with software applications, ensuring seamless service delivery across multiple platforms
* Lead system integration initiatives involving telecom network elements (e.g., routers, switches, gateways), cloud infrastructure, and software applications
* Evaluate and incorporate emerging telecom technologies, protocols (e.g., SIP, MPLS, SDN/NFV), and industry standards to drive network evolution
* Develop comprehensive network architecture and integration strategies to support new service rollouts and application deployments
* Work closely with security, operations, and application teams to ensure the network supports robust, secure, and compliant service delivery
* Document architectural designs, integration frameworks, and operational best practices
* Mentor and guide junior engineers and architects in telecom network design and integration

REQUIREMENTS:
Technical Must-Haves:
* Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNP/CCIE Service Provider, Juniper JNCIP, or equivalent)
* Proven expertise in telecom network architecture (core and access networks)
* Strong experience with telecom protocols and standards, including SIP, MPLS, SDN, NFV, LTE, and 5G
* Hands-on experience integrating software applications with telecom network infrastructure
* Deep understanding of carrier-grade network design principles - high availability, scalability, and security
* Experience with cloud-native telecom environments and network virtualization technologies
* Proficiency in system integration and orchestration of network elements and software
* Strong knowledge of network security best practices in telecom environments
* Ability to document and communicate complex network designs clearly

Technical Nice-to-Haves:
* Experience with network automation and programmability tools such as Python, Ansible, or similar
* Familiarity with telecom service orchestration platforms and APIs
* Understanding of IoT or SaaS application integration within telecom networks
* Knowledge of network monitoring and analytics tools
* Exposure to DevOps practices in telecom network evolution
* Experience working with multi-vendor environments
* Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) in a telecom context

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
