DPP is seeking an IT Security Architect for an opportunity in Lansing, Michigan.

Work arrangement:
- Hybrid: Onsite 2 days/week (Tuesday and Wednesday); 3 days/week WFH
- W2 position; 12 months, with possible extension
- Open to Michigan candidates only.
- The IT Security Architect will provide cybersecurity architecture, design, and consulting services to various departments in the State of Michigan.
- The Security Architect will support the emerging field of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and support and defend traditional and non-traditional IoT networks.
- Assist MDOT system engineers and operators implement and manage best practices to secure the evolving intelligent transportation backbone of the state of Michigan.
- Evaluate current and future cyber-physical transportation systems and make recommendations for improving the security posture to protect the transportation infrastructure from cyber security threats of all kinds.
- Assist in the selection, development, and implementation of systems and monitoring tools that focus on transport cybersecurity.
- Serve as a clearinghouse for issues as they arise.
- 3 to 4 years of experience as a Security Architect or related position is required.
- 3 to 4 years of experience doing Risk Assessments.
- 3 to 4 years of experience working to ensure compliance with security standards.
- 3 to 4 years of experience reviewing settings and configurations on systems and network devices for compliance with best practices.
- 3 to 4 years of experience coordinating and conduction vulnerability scans.
- Knowledge of NIST.
- Knowledge of Intelligent Transportation Systems.
