Job Details

Job Title: DevOps Engineer T3 Location: Herndon, VA Fulltime

Key Responsibilities: 1. Cloud Provisioning:
Deploy, configure, and maintain SAP solutions on public cloud platforms, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. Automate the provisioning process to accelerate deployment cycles and minimize manual intervention. Collaborate with development and QA teams to provision necessary resources for testing and release processes.

2. Operations and Optimization:
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and resource utilization. Implement continuous monitoring solutions to proactively identify and resolve operational issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for resource allocation, load balancing, and cost optimization.

3. Security and Compliance:
Work closely with security teams to implement and maintain robust security measures for cloud environments. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to cloud security.
Regularly audit and update security policies and access controls.

4. Automation and Tooling:
Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance operational efficiency. Implement CI/CD pipelines for code deployment, configuration management, and version control. Evaluate and integrate new DevOps tools and technologies to enhance the overall development and deployment process.

5. Collaboration and Documentation:
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and system administrators. Comprehensive documentation for provisioning processes, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines. Mentor junior team members and facilitate knowledge sharing sessions.

Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in deploying and managing SAP solutions on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform).
Solid understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) and security best practices for cloud environments.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer).
Experience with SAP HANA and SAP Cloud Platform services.
Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
Previous experience in government or defense-related projects.
