Required Skills (5+ Years):
  • Experience with Power Platform applications like PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Pages and Power BI.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE).
  • Experience developing or debugging on Power Platform plugins, Custom Workflows, client-side JavaScript, and PCF development.
  • Experience working on both .NET core and .NET framework.
  • Experience with source code control (GIT) and software development in teams based on branching strategy.
  • Experience with relational database (SQL Server) design and development.
  • Experience developing in a continuous integration environment using source code control, automated testing and build automation.
  • Experience with agile development practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud development and deployment (Azure) is plus.

Complete Description:
Mecklenburg County requires a Power Platform/.net Developer for a short-term engagement.
**THIS IS A TEMP TO PERM POSITION. Based on performance, after the initial contract engagement the manager would like to hire the contractor full time. The salary range for the full time position is $80,000.00 - $110,000 per year.
**Mecklenburg County is not able to offer sponsorship for the full-time role. Only candidates available to work full time without sponsorship will be considered for this position.
Description (including, but not limited to):
1. Provide guidance and share best practices regarding Power Platform application development.
2. Enhance current implementation of Microsoft Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) and make progress on setting up standards and governance process using CoE toolkit.
3. Research and setup CI/CD for Microsoft Power Platform applications.
4. Keep up with latest changes on.NET platform and troubleshoot applications with application development team and make recommendations for improvement.
5. Learn about upcoming changes on Microsoft Power Platform, document and knowledge share with application development team.
6. Perform Code Reviews and approve PR for code produced by other team members.
7. Work in a team-based environment, communicating effectively with all levels of staff and management.
