A global bank is seeking an Application Production Support Engineer to join their New York office. The Application Production Support Engineer must be proficient with Control-M or job scheduling experience essential. Scripting languages (Perl a plus) on UNIX, Windows.
Responsibility:
Provide level 1 and level 2 support for end-users and IT
Integrate corporate and capital markets applications to environment.
Efficient support on business applications
Coordinate with local and head office development teams to release applications in appropriate environments.
Develop and maintain tools to enhance the end-user service level and facilitate support tasks.
Write and update information system documentation and procedures.
Familiar with ITIL Change/Incident/Problem management and process. Update and maintain IT incidents and production changes (e.g. in ServiceNow)
Participate in off hours support rotation and weekend key releases or Disaster Recovery tests as needed
Familiar with DevOps or DevSecOps program facilitating Continuous Integration Continuous Development (CI/CD) integrating Security scanning and remediation
Skills:
Technical Proficiency: Control-M or job scheduling experience essential. Scripting languages (Perl a plus) on UNIX, Windows.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT framework and infrastructure, application design and connectivity. Good overall computing technology knowledge and experience
Troubleshooting Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: Previous experience in application support, technical support, or a related area. Prefer in financial industry
