Fortigate Network Engineer

Role Overview:

Proficient Network Engineer to manage and execute the loading of boot configurations onto FortiGate firewalls. This role is critical in ensuring secure and consistent firewall deployments for all the new Fortigate firewall ordered by the end customer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and verify boot-time configurations on FortiGate firewalls during initial setup or re-deployment.
• Ensure configurations align with organizational security policies and network architecture standards.
• Collaborate with Network solution Engineer and SASE teams to validate configuration templates.
• Perform pre-deployment testing and post-deployment validation of firewall configurations.
• Maintain documentation of configuration procedures, version control, and change logs.
• Troubleshoot configuration issues and provide root cause analysis.
• Support firmware upgrades and configuration migrations as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls and FortiOS CLI.
• Strong understanding of firewall policies, NAT, VPNs (IPSec/SSL), and routing protocols.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools and Fortimanager.
• Experience with network security best practices and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Certifications:

• Fortinet NSE 4 or higher
• CCNA or higher
