POSITION OVERVIEW:
Leads the delivery of commercial data science initiatives, overseeing teams that develop advanced models, reusable data products and toolkits to support business decision-making and analytics self-service
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing data science team, fostering technical growth and continuous improvement
2. Oversee the exploration, development and deployment of generative AI models and tools to create enterprise-wide solutions
3. Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify high-value opportunities and define success metrics for analytics solutions
4. Ensure adherence to data governance, security and quality standards across data science workflows
5. Monitor model performance, adoption, and business impact recommending optimizations as needed
6. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or related field
Five (5) years' experience in data science or analytics roles
Proven experience managing teams that build predictive, prescriptive or machine learning models
Strong expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning frameworks and data product development
Familiarity with commercial/market data, customer analytics or operational analytics
Strong stakeholder communication skills to translate complex analytics into actionable business insights
Leadership and coaching skills to develop a high-performing data science team
Strategic thinking to prioritize projects and align analytics initiatives with commercial objectives
