Job Details

Join our client's team as a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer! This is a new full-time opportunity for one of our clients in Denver, Colorado. The client is a local government agency who is looking for a proactive individual to enhance business processes by analyzing requirements, collaborating with teams, and implementing effective systems solutions.

Job Details:

Position: Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, Server Management

Duration: Full time

Location: Denver, CO

This position will ensure a secure cybersecurity posture for Client's datacenter services, including server operation systems, compute, storage, virtualization, and web services. This includes mitigating vulnerabilities and the deployment, documentation, and steady-state transition of cybersecurity controls and protection technologies.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL:

  • Identify, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities in server operating systems, applications and middleware components, including the evaluation and deployment of system management and patching solutions
  • Develop roadmaps and plans to re-platform legacy operating systems and technologies.
  • Maintain updated hardware and software inventory of datacenter systems
  • Develop and deploy server hardening, logging, and vulnerability management standards and other standard operating procedures.
  • Deploy end-point security tools including such as Anti-Virus, Endpoint Detection and Response, vulnerability detection, file-integrity monitoring, etc

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Assurance, Business Administration, or Risk Management field of study or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in IT Server Administration or Engineering
  • A minimum of three years of experience in working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in enterprise vulnerability identification and remediation

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Proficient with Microsoft configuration and management tools, such as Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, Intune, Group Policy, PowerShell, etc.
  • Proficient in interpreting and prioritizing vulnerabilities from sources such as risk assessments, audit findings, Microsoft Security Assessments, and reports from Tenable, Rapid7, or Qualys.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams and SharePoint based collaboration.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to use sound judgment.
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details.
