Job Title: IT Support Technician (Desktop Support III)

Location: Madison, WI (Onsite)

Duration: Contract- Long Term

Pay Rate: $21-23/hour

We are seeking a skilled IT Support Technician to assist with end-user support, system upgrades, and workstation setup within a complex enterprise environment. The ideal candidate is experienced in troubleshooting, customer-focused, and comfortable working both remotely and hands-on at user desks.

Top Required Skills (3+ Years Each):

• Troubleshooting issues on Windows laptops and desktops


• Tracking work and progress using a ticketing system


• Performing both package-based and manual software installations


• Setting up computer stations, including peripherals

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with endpoint management tools such as Ivanti or SCCM


• Imaging computer systems and preparing devices for deployment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide timely support for PC endpoint incidents via remote console and deskside visits


• Assist with upgrades to Windows 11, BIOS updates, and encryption migrations to BitLocker


• Support technical aspects of an upcoming office move, ensuring systems are correctly set up and functional in the new location


• Work without scripts in a dynamic environment, using sound troubleshooting skills and documentation resources


• Deliver excellent customer service and clear communication while supporting end users

Success in this role requires a balance of technical skill, problem-solving, and communication. The environment is diverse and not highly scripted, so adaptability and initiative are essential.
