Job Details

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of an MMIS Interface Lead in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:
* MMIS Interface Lead will serve as the primary contact for 20+ external partners and vendors for file exchange and API interface activities
* Lead planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of MMIS interfaces (file-based and API/web services)
* Gather and analyze technical requirements to ensure seamless data exchange
* Manage the full interface lifecycle: onboarding, changes, enhancements, testing, deployment, and support
* Coordinate development and troubleshooting with internal technical, infrastructure, security, and business teams
* Define and enforce standards for data formats, communication protocols, routing, and transport
* As a MMIS Interface Lead, you will monitor daily file and API transactions for timely delivery, accuracy, and SLA compliance
* Lead root cause analysis and resolution of interface issues and data discrepancies
* Ensure secure exchange of sensitive data in compliance with HIPAA and state privacy regulations
* Plan and execute integration, regression, and UAT testing with external partners
* Manage partner communications for deployments, outages, upgrades, and incidents
* Maintain documentation: specifications, data mappings, process flows, runbooks, and support guides
* Collaborate on certificates, firewall/security updates, VPNs, gateways, and SFTP/API environments
* Recommend improvements for automation, monitoring, and operational efficiency
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Interface Analysts and support staff

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, IT or Healthcare Administration or equivalent work experience
* 10+ years of IT experience with proven expertise in MMIS interface leadership, design, and support
* Extensive experience in interface architecture, design, development, and data structure modeling
* Hands-on experience with secure file exchange protocols and mechanisms such as SFTP
* Experienced in developing comprehensive business and technical requirements, interface design specifications, and supporting documentation
* Experienced with web service/API validation and testing using tools such as SoapUI (or similar), including test planning and execution
* Deep technical understanding of IT infrastructure, hosting environments, and integration standards
* Strong knowledge of SOAP/Web Services, XML standards, and enterprise data exchange patterns
* Proficient in SQL for data validation, analysis, and issue troubleshooting
* Solid understanding of encryption standards, security protocols, and Unix/Linux operating environments
* Strong domain expertise in healthcare and Medicaid/MMIS with a focus on interface design, data structures, and transactional processing across multiple external partners

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
