Cloud Platform Specialist (Wind River)

This company is leading a nationwide migration from VMware to Wind River, leveraging AWS, Kubernetes, and containerized network functions (CNFs). This long-term contract (6-12 months) based out of the Plano office offers hands-on experience in cloud transformation, automation, and next-gen networking with opportunities for extension or full-time conversion.

The ideal candidate is a Wind River expert with cloud migration and virtualization experience. You'll work on cutting-edge 5G and AI-driven solutions while collaborating with a team that values innovation, growth, and career advancement.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of overall technical experience in cloud environments, with a strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and security
• 1+ years of Wind River experience
• Expertise in virtualization technologies and Wind River cloud platforms
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes-based environments
• Experience deploying cloud platforms using Wind River for Open RAN (DU/CU) and Edge Network Functions
• Strong background in containerized network functions (CNFs)

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Hands-on experience with Wind River Cloud Platform, particularly in deploying and managing Distributed Units (DUs)
• Experience in migrating from VMware to Wind River, including execution and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of 5G wireless/cellular systems and ORAN/vRAN architectures
• Familiarity with automation and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform
• Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills
• Proficiency in Python, Ansible scripting for automation
• Experience working in an Agile or DevOps environment
