Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks a Director, Lead Software Engineer in Alpharetta, Georgia
Develop and maintain various software applications related to the Wealth Management platform. Contribute to all aspects of the software application development including functional and technical specifications, design, development, and support. Ensure high quality of deliverables while enforcing software development best practices. Work closely with delivery organizations across Morgan Stanley Technology, Operations, and Business areas. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
Salary:
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $170,000 and $170,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a Associate Specialist, Lead, Software Designer, or a related occupation. Requires five (5) years of experience with: designing, developing, and building enterprise-level applications using Java technologies; object-oriented analysis and design, data structures
and algorithms; OO programming and debugging skills; command on debugging, profiling, and performance evaluation of distributed applications; Core Java 8+; Gradle; Java and Java EE internals; Rest and SOAP Webservices and microservices; data transformation; Linux OS fundamentals and basic shell-scripting; Spring Framework; Spring Boot; ORM technologies; Apache Solr; Tomcat; multi-tier, distributed architecture; SDLC best practices; Agile; DevOps; GIT; Kafka; domain knowledge for financial market and wealth management; cloud technologies; relational databases and SQL and NoSQL; Hadoop; MapReduce; Test driven development using JUnit5.x; and CI/CD pipeline using TeamCity and Jenkins.
