Job Title: Senior Oracle DBA with ILM experience

Location: Hybrid (Chicago, IL)

Duration: 6 + months

Start Date: Immediate

Key Responsibilities

·         Support ILM-related activities including table reorganization using CTAS.

·         Implement range partitioning on ILM_DT and reference partitioning for child tables.

·         Assist in designing and executing data purging strategies in compliance with retention policies.

·         Collaborate with application teams to ensure minimal impact during ILM transitions.

·         Manage database security, user access, roles, and auditing.

·         Monitor and maintain database health, availability, and capacity planning.

·         Automate routine DBA tasks using PL/SQL, shell scripting, or other tools.

·         Analyze and optimize SQL queries, PL/SQL code, and database performance.

·         Use tools like AWR, ASH, OEM, and SQL Trace for diagnostics and tuning.

·         Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in high-volume transactional systems.

Required Skills & Experience

·         8+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise-scale environments.

·         Strong hands-on experience with Oracle partitioning, CTAS, and reference partitioning.

·         Proven expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.

·         Experience with Oracle CC&B data model is a strong advantage.

·         Proficiency in PL/SQL, shell scripting, and automation of DBA tasks.

·         Familiarity with Oracle Data Pump, RMAN, and Advanced Compression.
