Responsibilities:

The developer will be part of a team performing upgrades and enhancements on a couple of web applications that have been developed in-house. Responsibilities for the developer include upgrading the .NET Core (.NET 5 -> .NET 9) and Angular (Angular 11 -> Angular 20) code versions, an overhaul of existing components and functions and develop and deploy new features. This role will require the developer to work with business and technical stakeholders to vet requirements and support testing activities. Knowledge transfer deployed changes to the support team.

Skills:

  1. Experience with Front-End Development using Angular
    1. TypeScript
    2. Angular Framework
    3. HTML/CSS
    4. Front-End Development Tools such as NPM or Yarn, Chrome Dev Tools
    5. API Integration
  2. Experience with Back-End Development (.NET Core REST APIs)
    1. C# Programming
    2. .NET Core Framework
    3. Dependency injection, ASP.NET Core configuration (ie: appsettings.json)
    4. Logging (ie: ASP.NET Core Logging, Serilog for AspNetCore)
    5. Swagger/OpenAPI
    6. Understanding API security (ie: OAuth 2.0, CORS)
    7. Performance optimization techniques (cachine, async programming)
  1. Database Development
    1. Experience with SSMS and Oracle SQL Developer
    2. Writing and optimizing SQL queries
    3. Understanding relational database concepts like normalization, indexes, primary/foreign keys
    4. Design principles for creating efficient schemas
  1. Entity Framework
    1. Expertise in EF Core and data access (ie: Database-First approaches)
    2. Experience with LINQ for querying data
    3. Understanding change tracking and lazy loading
  1. Basic Development Skills
    1. Version Control
    2. DevOps and Deployment (Pipelines, Git, Containerization)
    3. Experience with Azure and on-premises servers
    4. Experience with developing web apps using IIS and IIS Express.

    1. Experience with Agile methodologies (ie: Scrum)
  1. Soft Skills and Colab
    1. Problem-Solving: Ability to debug complex issues across the stack (front-end, back-end, database).
    2. Communication: Collaborating with team members, including designers, QA engineers, and stakeholders.
    3. Documentation: Writing clear technical documentation for APIs, database schemas, and front-end components.
