Job Details

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the financial systems support group comprising of super-users.

  • Provide direction and leadership for accounting and financial information system policies, procedures, strategies, and project management for the implementation of new or major revisions to financial systems.

  • Oversee and direct the SAP (ECC 6.0) and Power Plant monthly system close and other system processes, including administration of Hyperion, GRC-RAR, Blackline, and SAP FERC module.

  • Ensure financial master data integrity, including ad hoc reports and feeds for regulatory reporting and other areas.

  • Provide technical, analytical, and business process expertise to develop and implement strategies supporting the accounting department and other users of financial systems.

  • Manage a team of SAP module experts responsible for:

    • Month-end system financial close (SAP ECC 6.0, Power Plant, Hyperion, Blackline)

    • SAP Master Data changes affecting data capture and reporting

    • Administration of the GRC-RAR system for SAP segregation of duties

    • Data audits, security, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and enhancement requests

  • Monitor team quality and establish performance standards.

  • Maintain and apply working knowledge of internal controls, including support of Sarbanes-Oxley processes for master data and entitlements.

  • Interface with IT for upgrades, enhancements, and user acceptance testing.

  • Support planning and budgeting processes.

  • Work with clients and external contacts to identify functional enhancements to improve processes.

  • Develop team capabilities to assist clients in functional upgrades and other value-added initiatives.

Job Requirements / Skills

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience.

  • Functional knowledge in SAP ECC 6.0 Financial and Controlling (FI/CO) modules and Hyperion is required.

  • Knowledge of Power Plant, Blackline, and GRC-RAR is a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in accounting process system design.

  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate with all management levels.

  • Knowledge of business unit/functional area processes, process dependencies, and cross-functional links.

  • Strong internal control, business, and financial background.

  • Familiarity with GAAP, GLSU, MS Excel, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools is desired.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Systems, or a related field.
