Overview:

We are seeking a Tester / QA Analyst who will support our client in delivering high-quality software solutions for a New York State (NYS) initiative. This role involves comprehensive testing responsibilities, from developing test cases to identifying defects, and requires prior experience with NYS systems. The QA Analyst will work closely with development teams and business stakeholders to ensure compliance and functionality throughout the software lifecycle.

Duties:

  • Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

  • Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing.

  • Log, track, and retest bugs and issues using defect management tools.

  • Collaborate with development and business teams to ensure product quality.

  • Document test results and provide clear reports on test findings.

  • Ensure compliance with NYS QA standards and procedures.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • 4 + years of QA testing experience.

  • Prior experience working with NYS agencies or government projects.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Proficiency with QA tools and testing methodologies.

  • Based in Albany, NY or available for onsite work when needed.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP).

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum frameworks.

  • ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
