ASD is seeking a Network Specialist to help support our Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Logistics Modernization Integration Support (LMIS) Program in New Cumberland, PA.
As a Network Specialist you will ensure the development and delivery of high-quality products and deliverables to clients. Perform Daily functions of network monitoring and troubleshooting of network related issues.
HOW A NETWORK SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Review existing and proposed network architectures to ensure fit for purpose for DLA
- Provides ongoing support for the functionality and efficiency of computer networks (LAN/WAN).
- Designs, installs, maintains and coordinates the use of network systems.
- Monitors and manages data traffic/network performance and controls network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission.
- Troubleshoots and resolves problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network. Enforces
- security policies.
- Configure network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls
- Define VLANs across the OT network to maximize security and performance
- Prepare for and conduct activities in compliance with Federal Guidelines
- Create complete, reliable, and trustworthy information on the network and associated equipment, including network drawings
- Identify network weaknesses and deficiencies.
- Identifying and documenting hardware and software version, including firmware versions
- Write programs according to specifications, which may be provided by Engineers, technical architects, or other computer scientists
- Update, repair, modify and expand existing computer programs Level 1 performs more routine aspects of position and is supervised by higher levels.

CLEARANCE: Security Clearance Level: Secret
CERTIFICATION(S): Security+ OR similar CCNA or similar desired
EDUCATION: BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
YEAR S EXPERIENCE Must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of network design, configuring and implementation expertise.
TECHNICAL SKILLS: Network Engineering, Troubleshooting networks, configure network equipment
SKILLS & ABILITIES: Problem solving, Work in a team environment, Provide customer support.
LOCATION: New Cumberland, PA. NOTE: This position will require to report ONSITE in New Cumberland, PA for the first couple months, HOWEVER, will transition over to HYBRID schedule shortly thereafter (working a couple days onsite and a couple days remote).
