Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite technical assistance across multiple counties in the region. This role involves a mix of remote and in-person support, working directly with end users to resolve hardware, software, and basic network issues in a large enterprise environment.

Location

This is a field-based position covering approximately 11 counties. Travel within the region is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide remote and onsite desktop support for end users, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Respond to support tickets routed from a centralized help desk, resolving issues remotely when possible and onsite when necessary.
  • Assist users with common desktop issues such as email access, password resets, printing/scanning problems, and connectivity.
  • Support hardware including desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
  • Perform software troubleshooting and support for both standard and custom applications.
  • Act as onsite support for server-related tasks under remote guidance from centralized teams.
  • Install and configure desktop systems and assist with upgrade deployments.
  • Maintain knowledge of user permissions and access controls.
  • Conduct basic network diagnostics and support for local connectivity issues.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in desktop support, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Familiarity with both Windows and macOS environments.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Experience with workstation security, antivirus tools, disk imaging, and enterprise applications.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems independently.
  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to manage multiple support requests efficiently.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
  • Certifications such as A+ or similar are beneficial but not required.
  • Experience with deployment tools and system imaging processes.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
