Job Details
We're looking for a Lead Hardware Engineer to join our team, reporting to VP, Software Engineering. In this role, you'll help shape how we design, develop, test and implement high-speed circuits on Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) to improve performance of Nasdaq trading systems.

The base pay range for this role is $142,900 - $238,100. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual boncommission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. What You'll Do:
- Translate system requirements into FPGA designs using HDL
- Simulate and debug designs in a virtual environment to ensure functionality before hardware implementation. Create test benches and simulation scenarios.
- Implement designs on physical FPGA devices. Achieve timing closure and validate system performance.
- Work with hardware and software engineers to integrate FPGA products with Nasdaq trading systems.
What You'll Bring:
Technical skills:
- Proficiency in VHDL. (Verilog/System Verilog is a plus)
- Strong understanding of very high speed digital logic design
- Familiarity with Xilinx FPGA devices (Altera/Intel is a plus)
- Knowledge of networking protocols and PCIe (high-speed DMA)
- Familiarity with memory controllers (DDR, HBM
- Comfortable in a Linux environment
Non-technical skills:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Education Required: At least Bachelors' Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (Master's a plus); or equivalent work experience.
- Experience Required: A minimum of 8 years experience in FPGA design
