Job Details
Title: Azure Architect
Location: Philadelphia, PA Remote is Fine.
Required Skills:
- Extensive experience (often 7-8+ years) in data engineering, data governance, or cloud data architecture.
- Hands-on expertise with Databricks platform, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and Lakehouse architecture and streaming platforms like Kafka.
- Strong skills in SQL, Python, Spark, and Azure cloud environment.
- Proven experience migrating SAP HANA databases, S/4 HANA and SAP applications to Azure cloud or other public clouds.
- Develop data models, schemas, and data pipelines to support ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and analytics workloads in cloud environments.
- Work closely with data scientists, engineers, business stakeholders, and cloud teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Lead teams, provide mentorship, and guide architectural best practices.
- Knowledge in data modeling (OLTP, OLAP), metadata management, master data management (MDM), and data governance frameworks.
- May also involve leadership functions such as guiding architecture decisions and mentoring teams.
Good to Have:
- Monitor cloud data solutions for performance, scalability, and cost, implementing optimizations to reduce cloud spend and improve efficiency.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, or JavaScript, and familiarity with chatbot development frameworks like Dialogflow, Rasa, Microsoft.
- Expertise in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot, LookerStudio), NLP technologies, AI platforms, and data querying languages like SQL.
- Strong understanding of NLP, NLU, machine learning, and AI frameworks including TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face.
- Experience with generative AI and large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and tuning AI models.
- Certification in data architecture or related field.
- Experience with agile project management methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
- Experience with IT service management frameworks like ITIL.
- Knowledge of Gen-AI architecture patterns, data quality, and cost optimization strategies in the cloud.
- Familiarity with adb Genie, Cloudie.
- Hands-on experience with HighByte and HiveMQ.
- Familiarity with AI ethics, data privacy regulations, and responsible AI development practices.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Power Platform, or similar automation tools can be advantageous.
