Job Details

CDR Maguire Engineering is hiring for a part-time (20-24 hours per week) experienced Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduler for our Warrendale, PA office. This is a part-time position starting in-office, but with remote work possibility, following training. Candidate must live in the Pittsburgh, PA area.

JOB SUMMARY

This role will include review and creation of Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules, using various types of CPM scheduling software. Collaboration with office and field staff and detailed review and understanding of plans and specifications is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Review and report on construction project CPM schedules for multiple public and private clients
  • Develop and generate CPM schedules for public and private clients for design phase work as well as construction phase work.
  • Complete required training for CPM schedule review and creation.
  • Work with construction inspectors and construction managers to provide support with construction inspection, documentation, specifications, scheduling, claims support, and other required construction support functions.
  • Work with in-house engineers to generate, review, and/or oversee project design schedules for multiple public clients.
  • Other duties that may arise from time-to-time and/or are commensurate with the title and position.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of CPM Scheduling experience in Transportation (Civil Engineering) required.
  • High school, Associates, Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • Proficient with Primavera, P6, ASTA PowerProject, Microsoft Project, or other CPM scheduling software.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Suite which includes Word, Excel, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially to a diverse range of audiences and settings.
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced environment and meet required submission dates.
  • Ability to deal with high pressure and hard deadlines.
  • Flexible schedule to include late afternoon and evening hours and overtime and weekends as needed to provide support for construction deadlines.
  • Limited travel, if any, based on business needs.
  • Must have a valid active and clear Driver's license.
  • Casual office and team-oriented work environment.
