Job Description

You will be an Antenna Engineer responsible for antenna design, SME oversight of our Fire Control Antenna supplier, and evaluating Active Antenna technologies to support the development of future RF Sensor systems. Our team is dedicated to designing and developing cutting-edge antenna systems, and you will play a key role in managing the technical relationship with our supplier, evaluating new technologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What You Will Be Doing
As an Antenna Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the technical relationship with our Fire Control Antenna supplier, ensuring that technical objectives are being met. You will review and approve supplier documentation, collaborate with a Lockheed Martin Fellow to ensure that recommendations are employed and best practices are followed, and monitor supplier performance to address any technical issues or concerns that arise. You will also evaluate and assess Active Antenna technologies to support the development of future RF Sensor systems, and drive the development of requirements and specifications for future Active Antenna systems.

Your responsibilities will include:
Managing the technical relationship with the Fire Control Antenna supplier
Reviewing and approving supplier documentation, including specifications and statements of work (SOW)
Collaborating with a Lockheed Martin Fellow to ensure that recommendations are employed and best practices are followed
Monitoring supplier performance and addressing any technical issues or concerns that arise
Evaluating and assessing Active Antenna technologies to support the development of future RF Sensor systems
Driving the development of requirements and specifications for future Active Antenna systems
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize future needs and technology investments for the RF Sensor Product Center
Staying up to date with industry trends and advancements in antenna technology
Developing and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, including engineering teams and program management
Participating in design reviews, technical meetings, and other events as required

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromagnetics, or a related field -- or equivalent professional experience
Minimum 9 years of experience in antenna engineering, with a focus on design, development, and testing of antenna systems
Strong knowledge of antenna theory, design, and testing principles, including electromagnetic simulation tools and techniques
Experience with supplier management, technical specification development, and statement of work (SOW) creation

Desired skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromagnetics, or a related field (min 7 years experience)
Experience with Active Antenna technologies and RF Sensor systems
Familiarity with industry-standard tools and software, such as electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g. HFSS, CST, WASP-Net) and CAD design tools
Certification in antenna engineering or a related field
Experience working with Lockheed Martin Fellows and other subject matter experts

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $118,700 - $209,300. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement
