Skills:
3+ years in product ownership, product management, or technical project management ideally in a media or broadcast operations environment.
Familiarity with content ingest, scheduling, playout, metadata packaging, or distribution tooling.
Strong backlog management skills, including user story writing, prioritization, and refinement.
Comfort with agile development tools like Jira, Confluence, and delivery planning frameworks.
Ability to translate complex operational needs into clear technical requirements.
Excellent communication and stakeholder facilitation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with tools and workflows across the content supply chain such as ingest and packaging systems, scheduling and traffic platforms, metadata management tools, playout readiness solutions, or distribution orchestration frameworks.
Experience leveraging AI-powered tools (e.g., LLMs, copilots) to enhance product workflows such as drafting user stories, enriching metadata, generating test cases, or identifying product insights.
Technical fluency sufficient to discuss implementation tradeoffs with engineering teams.
Product certifications (CSPO, SAFe POPM, etc.) are a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Backlog Ownership: Define, refine, and prioritize product backlog items in alignment with strategic goals and operational needs.
Workflow Enablement: Gather requirements from ingest, QC, packaging, scheduling, traffic, playout, and partner management stakeholders; translate needs into actionable user stories that improve orchestration, and delivery.
Delivery Execution: Collaborate daily with engineers, designers, and QA to drive sprint planning, review, and execution.
Operational Support: Ensure enhancements support real-world content operations, including SLA monitoring, compliance checks, scheduling accuracy, and delivery-status visibility.
System Modernization: Contribute to the transformation from legacy tools to scalable, cloud-native solutions; help decompose monoliths into modular services.
Automation & Intelligence: Help embed intelligent automation into tooling such as predictive schedule and fulfillment readiness, intelligent QC, metadata validations, and anomaly detection.
Documentation & Training: Maintain clear product documentation and support rollout of new features to operational users.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Interface with Product Managers, Analysts, and other Product Owners to coordinate dependencies and support seamless end-to-end workflow integration.
