Applies standard engineering methods to design, develop, and implement new or revised supply chain & production processes for the efficient/economical production of aerospace products. Responsible for integration of design requirements into processes and procedures through research and development strategies for optimization of supply chain in support of the manufacturing processes. Provides guidance to supply chain leadership surrounding how to optimize the production mix within the engines supply chain optimizing our internal capacity and capitalizing on strategic capability expansion.
This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will develop an integrated manufacturing system leveraging innovative manufacturing processes and supply chain strategies to design and manufacture advanced space propulsion systems. Partnering with manufacturing, you'll own the process to optimize the make-buy strategy, establish lead times, improve supply chain processes and procedures, and creates significant information for high-efficiency invention, evolution, and stable execution of advanced manufacturing processes. Collaborating with facility automation engineers, process engineers, design and analysis engineers, machine and process operators, enterprise tool developers, and equipment and material vendors, you'll identify requirements and opportunities for data, tools, equipment, and workflow automation. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage supply chain-related projects..
- Production Support- Production Scheduling, Theory of Constraints, Crew Empowerment, Scenario Planning, Make/Buy Evaluations, and Cost/Price Evaluations.
- Process Improvement- Lean Concepts, Engineering Economic Analysis, Process Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Methods, Six Sigma, and Waste Reduction.
- Operations improvement- Ergonomic and Human Factors, Operations Plans, Capital planning.
- Integrated Systems- Value Stream Analysis, Production Systems Design, Manufacturing Process Design, Systems Thinking, Supply Chain Design and Optimization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Operations Research, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related Engineering degree
- 8+ years of experience working directly with manufacturing in a production environment.
- Experience in assembly manufacturing environments
- 5+ years of factory flow and process modeling and simulations experience
- 5+ years of experience leading continuous improvement and value stream mapping events
- Strong analytic skills and a high degree of proficiency in data mining
- Exceptional with Excel, manual data analysis and other data mining tools (Python, R, SQL)
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Self-Starter
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Operations Management, Construction Management, MSE and/or MBA
- Project Management Certification (PMP)
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
- Experience in aerospace supply chain and/or manufacturing.
- Human rated space flight production experience
- Strong teaming skills
- Experience with supply chain and/or manufacturing organizations
