Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cypress Automation Lead to lead our test automation efforts across web applications. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Cypress, as well as hands-on experience with Cucumber and Selenium. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks, mentoring QA engineers, and ensuring high-quality releases through robust automation practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks using Cypress.

  • Integrate Cucumber (BDD) frameworks for business-readable automated test scenarios.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product owners, and DevOps to ensure seamless integration of test automation in CI/CD pipelines.

  • Maintain and support legacy automation suites in Selenium while migrating tests to modern frameworks.

  • Define test strategies, best practices, and coding standards for automation.

  • Mentor junior automation engineers and perform code reviews to ensure quality and consistency.

  • Monitor automation execution results, report defects, and track resolution in coordination with development teams.

  • Advocate for automation across the QA organization and participate in tool evaluations and proof-of-concepts.

  • Drive improvements in automation coverage and test efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in software test automation with a strong focus on web applications.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cypress in JavaScript/TypeScript.

  • Strong expertise in Cucumber for BDD-style test automation.

  • Solid experience with Selenium WebDriver, including legacy test maintenance and migration strategies.

  • Experience in implementing automation in CI/CD environments (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

  • Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities in a QA or automation team.
