Performance Engineering Co-Op Job Summary:
Work with a team of Aerospace Engineers and engineering compliance specialists on multiple projects. Identify and implement improvements to existing processes to increase efficiency, productivity, and performance
Airport Analysis and Takeoff & Landing Performance:
- Assist with GIS (Geographical Information System) analysis for airports worldwide as well as aircraft departure procedures where terrain and/or aircraft noise pose operational limitations
- Monitor daily airports and runway characteristics changes
Enroute Performance:
- Review flights with seating capacity restrictions due to high temperatures, enroute winds, etc.
- Develop and engineer operational datasets for payload performance monitoring
- Monitor aircraft over/under fuel burn performance
Weight and Balance:
- Monitor and update aircraft weight ledgers as mods/repairs are embodied
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Seeking a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Aeronautical/Aerospace or Mechanical strongly preferred).
Strong analytic, technical writing, and verbal communications skills required.
MS Office (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint) skills required. SQL, Python and/or VBA skills a plus.
Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
Private pilot's license a plus.
Students must be able to complete 3 alternating rotations in Atlanta, GA in line with the schedule below:
Spring 2026 - 1st rotation
Fall 2026 - 2nd rotation
Summer 2027 - 3rd rotation
