  • Network Security Management: Monitor, manage, and optimize Fortinet devices to protect against cyber threats, including malware, DDoS attacks, and unauthorized access.

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to Fortinet systems, including firewall policies, VPN connectivity, and security alerts, ensuring minimal downtime.

  • Policy Configuration: Create and maintain firewall policies, NAT rules, and security profiles to align with organizational security standards and compliance requirements.

  • Performance Monitoring: Use FortiAnalyzer and other tools to analyze network traffic, generate reports, and identify potential security vulnerabilities or performance bottlenecks.

  • Upgrades and Maintenance: Perform regular updates, patches, and firmware upgrades on Fortinet devices to ensure optimal performance and security.

  • Collaboration: Work with network architects, system administrators, and other IT teams to integrate Fortinet solutions with broader infrastructure and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).

  • Training and Documentation: Provide training to IT staff and end-users on Fortinet systems and maintain detailed documentation of configurations, policies, and procedures.

  • Compliance: Ensure Fortinet deployments comply with industry standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA) and organizational security policies.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in network security, with at least 2 years focused on Fortinet product deployment and management.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Expertise in Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiClient, FortiWeb, etc.).

    • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPN, SSL/TLS).

    • Experience with firewall policy management, IPS, anti-malware, and secure SD-WAN configurations.

    • Familiarity with cloud security integration (e.g., FortiGate-VM in AWS/Azure).

    • Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation is a plus.

  • Certifications: Required: Fortinet NSE 4 or higher. Preferred: NSE 5, NSE 7, Cisco CCNA, or CompTIA Security+.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

    • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
