Position Type: Contract
Position Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Position Salary: $45/HR - $47/HR (Depending on Experience)
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with global and regional company organizations, as well as Shared Services and Production Sites, to drive solution consulting and design new solutions aligned with best practices.
- The objective is to achieve the highest level of efficiency and sustainability in the global manufacturing and logistics solutions for the company.
- The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience integrating SAP systems with plant MES systems and logistics/warehousing solutions.
- Implement and support SAP S4/HANA PP-PI module according to business requirements
- Design and develop integration solutions between SAP and plant MES systems as well as logistics integration
- Provide technical expertise during all project phases from design to go-live
- Develop functional specifications and support testing activities
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and create documentation
- Troubleshoot and resolve production-related system issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration/management, or a related field; Higher Education is a plus
- 5+ years of hands-on SAP PP-PI implementation experience
- Strong understanding of S4/HANA production processes and functionalities
- Proficient in troubleshooting and leading the evaluation and design of corrections for complex incidents, maintaining a high level of functional competency in the standard configuration of PP-PI (including control recipe integration), and leveraging best practices and new trends in Covestro's current and future projects.
- Proven experience integrating SAP with plant MES systems. Expertise in configuring and testing an SAP-MES interface with Control recipes/Characteristic-based process instructions/Process messages
- Strong knowledge of SAP integration technologies (RFC, BAPI, API, IDocs, SFTP)
- Knowledge of logistics and warehousing integration with production modules
- Experience with production planning, execution, and control processes
- Experience communicating technical and business issues/solutions to individuals at all levels, including process owners and stakeholders.
- Strong active listening skills and the ability to translate needs, concerns, and solutions across functional and stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a tight project timeline.
- Strong understanding of IT architecture/cloud and ERP development.
- SAP ABAP and/or Java/Web Application development experience is preferred
- Knowledge of Oracle databases, SQL Server and .NET applications including T-SQL skills (Transact-SQL) is a plus
- Experience with SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) simple logistics, and RF integration is preferred
- Prior work with integrated production systems, chemical industry-specific production processes and knowledge of manufacturing best practices are considered a plus for the role.
