Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting for an Analyst External Data Acquisition Expert to join our External Data Acquisition team within the Integrated Data Analysis and Reporting (IDAR) Data Management & Central Monitoring organization. The position can be located in Springhouse, PA; Titusville, NJ or Raritan, NJ.

Position Summary

As a key member of the External Data Acquisition team, the Analyst External Data Acquisition Expert contributes to the collection, ingestion, transformation, and storage of external data to support a diverse clinical development portfolio.

You will be empowered to enable data acquisition activities for trials and data streams within assigned scope and develop into a subject matter expert on a variety of domains (e.g., non-CRF, Devices & Apps, Electronic Health Records (EHR), Direct Data Capture).

The successful candidate will work in an agile, fast-paced, highly motivated, team centric and evolving data environment. You will apply creative problem-solving skills and knowledge to support R&D innovation, staying abreast of relevant industry trends and innovative technologies related to external data.

You will be responsible for:
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and with external data providers to understand the purpose of data collected, align data availability and consumption requirements, and drive optimal data acquisition solutions.
  • Analyze data and content from external data streams and propose efficient pathways to acquire and integrate relevant data.
  • Contribute to the development and setup of traditional and novel data streams and related documents within assigned scope.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives contributing to innovation and the maturation of an industry leading data acquisition capability.
  • Actively contribute to the shaping of the organization, improving re-usability, efficiency, and consistency of tools and processes across studies and therapeutic areas.

Qualifications, skills, and experience
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree (e.g., BS, BA) or equivalent professional experience is required, preferably in Clinical Data Management, Health, or Computer Sciences.
  • Novice project and risk management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate in an environment of cross-functional stakeholders, plan and coordinate tasks effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal).

Preferred:
  • Knowledge of clinical drug development within the pharmaceutical industry or related industry.
  • Understanding of data management practices (including tools and processes), regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH-Google Cloud Platform), and standards (e.g., CDASH, SDTM).
  • Knowledge on developing and maintaining External Data Streams (e.g., Labs, ECG, Biomarkers, PK/PD, PGx, IVRS) and associated components (e.g., Data Transfer Agreements & Specifications, transfer file verification, data ingestion set-up).

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$74,000-$119,600

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.
