Job Details

Titles: IT Specialist- End User Device Technician
Location/Address: South Atlantic division - Emphasis on Savannah, GA

Duration: 6 months
Shift: The schedule is M-F, 8 AM-5 PM, with an hour for lunch.

Note: Hours may vary just slightly. Travel day, Sunday, if required for the site.
Looking for someone with Hospital Background.
No overtime. (Travel to locations: minimal, mostly regional)

Details:
  • Perform installation, modification, repair, testing, and/or servicing on laptops, desktops, and tablets, including, but not limited to hardware, peripherals, and software configuration as well as barcode scanners.
  • Incumbents service clients on-site in a hospital environment.
  • Replace user desktops, laptops, and tablets at the customer site. This includes, but is not limited to, setting up the hardware, testing it to make sure it is working, identifying system hardware problems, and following any special instructions.
  • Transfer the user's old files to the new device
  • Verify file transfer and basic software functionality with the end-user.
  • Travel within South Carolina, Georgia, Northeast Florida

Physical Requirements:
High physical endurance: stand, squat, and walk long hours; no physical ailments (foot, ankle, knee, back, etc.)
Lift up to 50 lbs.

Answers to questions that have been asked:
Are they traveling to all the mentioned states?
The Project encompasses visits to all the states, but not all will visit each state.
Candidates don't have to be solely in the states listed, but obviously strong candidates in the right location will win over someone we have to fly in.
Job description says experience in a hospital environment is a plus. Are the resources expected to work within a hospital environment?
The hospital staff will take the resource's temperature daily to grant access. If a resource experiences any Covid symptoms, he/she must immediately report.
Selected candidates will go thru credentialing process including background check, TB test (proof), Drug Screen, Flu Shot (proof), COVID Vaccine (proof), HIPAA, and Compliance training
This is 11 weeks of work over 6 months and we want them to commit just for the deployment weeks. However, if a strong candidate and are interested in full-time travel they could potentially support other projects on their offer weeks.
The candidate will be assigned one of the teams and will travel to the sites/states as per the team assignment.

Travel and Reimbursement:
If the resource has to fly, they will bill the flight time + 1 hour
If the resource is driving their own vehicle to the site, they will get paid for the travel time and the mileage (as permitted by Insight PM).
Techs will $50/day per-diem
Will the client be paying for the hotel expenses or will it be taken out of their daily per diem? Insight will cover hotel cost.
The technicians that won't be working/won't be getting paid between the weeks of the deployments.

Work Schedule:
Work Days/hours/ max hours per week: Will vary (some starts @ 6 am local, some later)
Night work: Possibly, but not likely
Weekend work (yes and frequency, or no): Possibly
