Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and implement graph-based data models and solutions.
  • Develop and optimize efficient graph queries using languages like Cypher, Gremlin, or SPARQL.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines to load, transform, and integrate data from various sources into the graph database.
  • Ensure the graph database and related applications are scalable, performant, and secure.
  • Work with stakeholders and cross-functional teams (like data scientists, analysts, and other engineers) to define use cases and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Build applications or APIs that leverage the graph database for relationship analysis, recommendation engines, fraud detection, or other use cases.
  • Provide guidance and mentor junior developers on graph best practices.
  • Create and maintain documentation for graph schemas, queries, and architectures.

Required skills and experience

  • Hands-on experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune).
  • Proficiency in graph query languages (e.g., , , ).
  • Strong programming skills in languages in Java and Python
  • Heavy financial experience
  • Familiarity with data modeling principles for connected data.
  • Experience with processes and data ingestion.
  • Knowledge of like AWS is often a plus.
  • Understanding of and algorithms, particularly related to graph theory.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
