WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (% of Time)
Using your developer and testing skills, you will develop automated tests for a web-based application written in C#. This application focuses on the next generation management tool for the component manufacturers in the wood structure building ecosystem. This SDET will collaborate with other members of the product development team, quality assurance, and creative team. (85%)
Participate in Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospectives as part of the Agile Scrum software development lifecycle. (15%)
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or technology, information systems or software engineering course of study or relevant experience required
- Accomplished in developing high quality and clean automated tests within a collaborative framework
- Ability to diligently attend to details and pursue quality in accomplishing tasks in a timely manner
- Communicate well, both verbally and in writing, creating accurate documentation, sharing information and ideas with others
- Ability to build and sustain cooperative working relationships
- Ability to make sound technical decisions that balance short-term needs with long-term goals
- Experience in utilizing Entity Framework (EF Core)
- Ability to develop automated tests in JavaScript
- Ability to work within company-developed automation framework following best practices and code sharing
- Experience with automated unit testing patterns and tools
- Experience with performing manual and exploratory testing
