Senior EDI Software Engineer

Location: Cincinnati, OH (Onsite Mon–Thu)

We’re seeking a Senior EDI Software Engineer to support food safety tracking and compliance initiatives. This role focuses on designing and implementing EDI integrations using IBM Sterling B2Bi, while working directly with suppliers and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and compliance.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain EDI solutions (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML).

  • Lead technical design and development in a small, collaborative team.

  • Partner with suppliers and represent the organization in business/technical discussions.

  • Implement integrations with IBM Sterling, IBM MQ, Kafka, and APIs.

  • Drive innovation, mentor team members, and support modernization initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of software/EDI development experience.

  • Strong expertise in IBM Sterling B2Bi and EDI standards.

  • Knowledge of communication protocols (AS2, SFTP) and middleware tools.

  • Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, SOAP/REST, CI/CD pipelines.

  • Excellent communication and supplier-facing skills.
