Description
SAIC is hiring for a Junior Field Technician to support our federal client.
Primary Duties will Include:
- Communicating effectively and professionally with customers, organizational IT Points of Contact, management, coworkers, via email, MS Teams chat, phone calls.
- Disconnecting/moving/reconnecting IT equipment (laptops, desktops, docking stations, monitors, printers, scanners, etc.).
- Removal and wiping of HDDs and SSDs.
- Updating asset assignment and/or location in DOE's personalized Service Now instance (aka DAYS).
- Installing hardware and related drivers (printers, scanners, dual-monitor stands).
- Troubleshooting hardware, including but not limited to laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, other peripherals.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School and two (2) years or more related experience.
- Experience installing, replacing, troubleshooting hardware preferred.
- Experience with MS Windows preferred Experience with ServiceNow.
- Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position which involves a significant amount of standing, walking, bending, disconnecting and reconnecting cables and peripherals, physically picking up hardware. May involve reaching under desks, behind desks in potentially dirty/dusty locations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE BAO clearance (public trust equivalent).
Desired Qualifications:
- A+ Preferred.
- Familiarity with Active Directory.
